More on Happiness and Better Health
Wednesday, September 10, 2008 | Author: ::
It’s long been theorized that happy people generally are in better health, but researchers aren’t sure why. Theres a strong evidence that the happier you are, the healthier you will be.

This week ive been warned by the consequences of smiling, and it might be the time for me to learn how to control smiling for no reason. Yeah, seriously for no reason!

I smiled while doing the stupid AutoCAD,
smile while flaming stupid contractor,
smile just looking at stack of paper that mess up my desk,
not to mention smile while SMS-ing :p...

smile here, smile there. Simply smile smile smile..
If study says smile offer you better health, i couldnt agree more. Then my health has come to the point where even when boss 'tiaw kaw kaw', i still able to carve a smile on my face. And thats real healthy!! Haha..

Well.. Im in a good mood these past weeks, and to be frank... there's something that keep me smiling all day long

Talk about happiness.. Hehe..

Got this from an email. One may have good eyes and yet see nothing...

Observe around you and be thankful for all that you have in this transitory lifetime. We are fortunate, we have much more than what we need to be content. Talk about living in a society that forgets and ignores the other two thirds of our brothers and sisters.

Free-IQTest.net - Quick Free IQ Test

Dont know how many times ive done this kind of test, but the result is never like what i expected. I never believe such a thing, but cant help it, this fella is jumping up and down asking me to complete the test.. So, being a nice guy, i cant resist her request. But this time, i twist the game a bit to make it a lil more interesting. Hehe. I purposely choose the wrong answer, which is obviously deviate with what my brain picked. But haih.. long story short, here we go..

Either the program is unreliable or my brain is really working upside down. Means if i choose the correct answer, my IQ more less should be reflected right? And that would be.. BELOW AVERAGE. No way!! Haha.

So its safe to say this program is not that reliable (seriously.. i hope so :p).. To make everybody happy, neither Einstein nor Bill Gates took this test before..
Dissappearing Act..

It has really been quite some time since I've even viewed my own blog... Been rather busy over job, and entering August means more yet to come. Not to mention having bad connection and server down problems, which kept me away from my virtual world... Friends have been coming back from either overseas or from other states, but time seems to never be enough when they are around..

Life's been moving on a rather fast pace lately, 5 days in a row starting from 830am to 730pm the whole week with only 1 hour break period to catch some breath... Such thing really makes me feel all worn out by the time i finished every single day. And that would be the greatest answer if you ask me why i skipped my workout these 2 weeks. Hehe.. You lazy bump :p

Apart from that, I've just done another terribly horrendous team conduct this week... With this I don't mean the team itself but me... I'm so bad... bad... I did a lot of mistakes and was always around 1 step slower than the others... Sigh... How could I ever let such a thing happen? Even though I could make a lame excuse of blaming it on the lack of experience as we were only given 1 week notice prior to the submission date... BUT, 2 of them have already completed their part since Wednesday. Paul was able to pick up everything, so guess I'm just not good enough... Or is it really lack of experience, dont know? Wondering how am I qualified to conduct a project when I'm having such a trouble. Guess I'm never good at team work... (trying hard to make myself feel not so bad..)

That's all for this post, I have meticulously calculated the time wasted to type the blog with the limitation of 30min to the max.
Pure Fiasco..

" MB Datuk Ahmad Said was in a jubilant mood Friday stressing that the Mercedes-Benz saga ended after the meeting with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi on Thursday, indicating that he had received the PM’s blessings to use the German-made vehicles as official cars.

Ahmad also met with Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak at the same venue. “Yes, we (Abdullah and Najib) reached a consensus on the matter during the meeting at Putra World Trade Centre (on Thursday). The matter has been solved. I can’t elaborate further,” he said Friday after opening the Seri Kandi’s Annual General Meeting at his official residence here.. "

The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has transformed the Terengganu Proton Perdana V6 Executive-Mercedes E200 Kompressor controversy into a pure fiasco.

What is the solution? The 14 RM245,000 Mercedes E200 Kompressors purchased by the Terengganu government for RM3.43 million are to be used only by VVIPs – “foreign dignitaries” for “major functions” - while the State Excos must continue to use the fleet of 16 RM130,000 Proton Perdana V6 Executives bought in 2004.

Reason? This is from Abdullah’s own words, explaining the Cabinet decision: “Since the cars have been bought and to sell them would only result in a loss, all of them must be used for state guests or dignitaries. This is the decision, nothing more, nothing less.”

Wouldn’t this ridiculous and laughable solution result in greater losses to the public coffers?

Now you tell me.. Who are the VVIPs or “foreign dignitaries for major functions” who would qualify to be chaperoned around the state in the 14 Mercedes E200 Kompressors?

Would there be 14 or 28 or 42 such “VVIPs” visiting Terengganu per year? Can the people of Terengganu and Malaysia be informed of such VVIPs who had visited Terengganu each year since 2004, or will the 14 Mercedes E200 Kompressors go into the Guinness Book of Records as the most garaged and unused Mercedes Kompressors in the world? Stupid!

Mingguan Malaysia of 20th July 2008 had reported that the 14 Mercedes E200 Kompressors for the 10 Excos, the State Speaker, State Secretary, State Legal Adviser and State Financial Officer had already been delivered, as they had been seen as being used by several Excos and the State Secretary at official functions.

“We had evaluated from all angles before deciding to buy the Mercedes E200 cars. This is the state’s long-term plan – we are farsighted. In the long run, Mercedes cars are cheaper to maintain and could also save us fuel costs. The cars could also fetch a high market price when sold as second-hand cars.." - Ahmad Said

Fartsighted is better i reckon. Thats not even deciding, thats more towards fulfilling own intention. Please, if you want to bullshyte people with all those craps, at least put some effort and try your best to make it reasonable. Now you tell me, if low-maintenance and fuel eff is what you are looking for, why not Toyota's. Why Merc.. and Kompressor summore? Haih!

My country has become so fragile :(

Article of the Week
Sunday, July 13, 2008 | Author: ::

Referring to this article from The Star. I was infuriated by it.

Even more so is that political news dominate a whole front page which was being elaborated far into several pages and yet covering only 'surface' reports.

In my personal opinion, those political bickerings are uncalled for and they will only rest their case when one authority becomes the sole decision maker.

C'mon,they don't have a life remember?

What a shame to have rudd congratulating (pun intended) our country for our active participation and overwhelming concerns over the political issues. I felt both humiliated and amused.

So,those are of immense importance.. How about this piece of article? It only occupies one little corner alongside with some unrelated news.

How pathetic!

An innocent citizen was raped in the POLICE STATION by a POLICE! And that piece of news only take up a small little space like some flimsy news!

No further follow-up reports were being written on the actions taken. I almost choked on my maggi mee.

I was still sleepy from the late-night yesterday but this article instantly woke me up - better than a triple shot espresso :O

Policemen..the force in which the rakyat trust in despite the oh-so-many allegations made as well as from our daily experiences/encounters with them.

Now..tell me..what more confidence can we place in them..anymore?

Don't bullshyte with all those one person doesn't mean that the whole group is the same.. but sighs.. Somehow, one rotten apple is already enough to spoil the whole barrel. One freaking rotten worms infested low grade apple!

Another even as equally saddening news which i wouldn't rant too much in case of stepping over the line and set a trail of fires after me since i do not have a link to the news source.

Anyways, it's an article on some policemen lodging reports against each others due to uneven distribution on collected bribes.

Turn Back Time

Look at this photograph
Everytime I do it makes me laugh
How did our eyes get so red
And what the hell is on Joey's head

And this is where I grew up
I think the present owner fixed it up
I never knew we'd ever went without
The second floor is hard for sneaking out

And this is where I went to school
Most of the time had better things to do
Criminal record says I broke in twice
I must have done it half a dozen times

I wonder if it's too late
Should i go back and try to graduate
Life's better now then it was back then
If I was them I wouldn't let me in

Oh, oh, oh
Oh, God, I

Every memory of looking out the back door
I had the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye.
Every memory of walking out the front door
I found the photo of the friend that I was looking for
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye.

Remember the old arcade
Blew every dollar that we ever made
The cops hated us hangin' out
They say somebody went and burned it down

We used to listen to the radio
And sing along with every song we know
We said someday we'd find out how it feels
To sing to more than just the steering wheel

Oh, oh, oh

I miss that town
I miss the faces
You can't erase
You can't replace it
I miss it now
I can't believe it
So hard to stay
Too hard to leave it

If I could I relive those days
I know the one thing that would never change

Every memory of looking out the back door
I had the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye.
Every memory of walking out the front door
I found the photo of the friend that I was looking for
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye.

Look at this photograph
Everytime I do it makes me laugh
Everytime I do it makes me...

Super Duper Lame
Thursday, July 03, 2008 | Author: ::
"A banana peel off his skin and then he fell down. Why? "

Stupid lame lame riddle that smashed our silence while we were having our lunch today. I knew the answer, for her sake i pretend i didnt know and curious what would it be.

"Because he step on his own skin..." (clap clap clap..)

Hah.. Im glad you are happy over a very very lame joke.
What were u doing when you were a kid. That was soo yesterday.

They all laughed, or pretend laughing. But for me, error 404.. humor not found, i didnt laugh so instead, i just murmured myself.. "Banana where got leg.."

She overheard me mumbling and my word sent her speechless. Haha. Evil. Yeah, you can say im evil, no sense of humor, anything you like, but lame joke like that wont tickle me at all. Not my cup of tea. I can fake my laugh, but trust me, that would be much more irritating. Haha..

But anyhow, i felt bad how i sent her mute. So to be fair, i planned to pay her back with my very own lame joke..

"What money is black in color".. They keep telling me the same answer, black money, bribe money, all wrong. Some even answered money that dipped into ink.. Haih..

Calmly, i gave the correct answer "It's 50cent.."

At first they didnt laugh, but soon after i explained 50cent is a famous rapper, then only the understand. Haih, such a loser, i made a joke but have to explain it to make people laugh. True loser.

But, the next thing i know, i sent all three of them eating rocks on the ground laughing. So its not a lame joke after all i can say.
H2O Car...
Saturday, June 28, 2008 | Author: ::

So what do u think..
I've watched thousands of clips about H2O generators. Every now and then, someone complains that water powered cars are a for real and people are throwing funds in reseaching it. Yeah, i admit there's a concept where energy can be converted by releasing the bonding between hydrogen and oxygen. But.. utilizing it to drive a shaft, no hesitate its a fraud. There is no such thing as perpetual motion. These postings that refer to perpetual motion are confusing hydrogen power. H2O engines are not perpetual motion - they require fuel. So dear narrator, i think you are correct, this thing is too good to be true.

Just wondering, if this is correct, will SYABAS overtake KLCC and name it as SYABAS TWIN TOWER. LOL..

Im glad its the japanese who produced this video, easier to proof this video is nothing but a pure scam. Like i said before, japanese people sure know how to brag things up. Too much reading will kill your brain eventually. Curiosity kills the cat so they said. LOL.

Talking about reading, last wednesday, when i was lurking around MidValley, i entered MPH and end up buying one novel. "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Khaleed Hosseini. Its a very nice novel indeed, set up place at Afghanistan where the storyline most of the time emphasize the endurance of the Afghan, especially women suffer during the Soviet era. This novel had won series of awards including "New York Times No.1 Best Seller" which turn K.H to be one of the greatest story teller. Let me finish the novel first and see how it goes.

Another bad week..

Seriously, i don't remember since when i'm such a lousy guy. Forgot this, forgot that, left this, left that.. Happen all the time. Let see in this week alone how many times i left my things behind..

Monday
I woke up early at 6am, tidy up my room, had my breakfast n left my home early. Looks like a promising week.. until i found out i missed my car key the time i was right in front of my car. The first omen of bad week.
That night, my bro called me, ask my favor to pick him & my sis up at train station. I wont make same mistake twice, so i make sure my car key is with me and when everything was ready, i set off and heading to train station. Shame on me, halfway there already, then only i realized, i forgot to bring along my mum's bag, which i supposed to pass it to them.

Tuesday
Having a bad monday, i decided today wont be as bad as yesterday. Woke up early, left early as usual, had my 'roti canai' n teh 'o'.. and reached my office very early. Looks good? No! This time its my office card. Its a built-in IR card, which in simple word, I cant gain access without it. Led me to wait for the next 15 minutes until my colleague came and open it up for me. If only i knew it earlier, i would rather spent that 15 minutes for another 'roti canai'. Haih.

Wednesday
Wallet, yes its my bloody wallet that i left when i went out for a meeting. My nuisance has come to the point where even as important as wallet also left behind. And of all days, it happen on my meeting day. Normally, after we finished our meeting, me together with architect Mr. Richard and C&S Eng. Mr. Philip will drink together. But as a result of my carelessness, right after the meeting finished, straight away i went back to my office without drinks with them first. Not that i was not thirsty, but what if, just in case they pass the table bill to me, what im going to do. Say to them, "ahh.. actually i left my wallet", hell no.. else that would be their last project with such a lousy engineer like me.

Thursday
Nothing left behind, but still it was not a perfect day..

Friday
Like Thursday, thing was pretty much good today. Everything went so smooth, all outstanding tasks were cleared before i went back, no problem nothing what so ever.. and when it was time to went back, considering it has been a tough week, i decided to went back early as at 530pm. Arrived home around 630pm, and ready to land my body on my new comforter set. I grabbed my pocket to unlock the front door grill but..
I left my home key in the office. My housemate opened the front door or me, no problem, buy my own room? It’s too late to drive back, it’s too far and too much hassle. I need to think the way to open my room door ( as i don have spare key for my room door). Using a hammer, hit the lockset for many times . The lockset dropped down, but it didnt opened the leaf. Something stucked in there which block it from opening. After 10mins, im out of control, i use nature force, my leg KICK the door, Opened ! I need to spend money to buy lockset to repair my door. Really Dem it. Hot enough today. Aih..

What a perfect closing for my week.. Seriously, i need to get rid of this attitude quickly. Let see how it goes.. Haih !!

Got this from friend of friend. I think he got it from some other website which I have no idea where is it. Both car went up to Genting Highland, speeding..

The way i look at it, either this guy is brainless, or he is just a plain idiot. Completely stupid, that speed sure can kill one. You need not more than just a tiny small slip, then you start to oversteer, and tadaa.. you'll see hell's gate in no time. (and yeah.. i hope its hell)

But dont worry, you are not alone.. your cameraman is already on his way up there too. LOL

I just don't understand why these people want to risk their life doing something that is so dangerous. Or maybe he is trying to be like this fella here?

Now thats cool.. real cool!!
Please.. dont mind the smoking part, these japanese people sure know how to brag things.. LOL
Listen, The Smoker Has Spoken..
Thursday, June 12, 2008 | Author: ::
My fren invited his gang for steamboat at his place last night, he told everyone to bring something and I was in charge of bringing the drinks..

Fren: What drinks are you bringing?
Me: Ribena...
Me: Okie ar?
Fren: Nothing else?
Me: Ribena + nana decoco + fruit brunch
Me: I really dont know what to buy...
Me: What if root beer, Kickapoo ?
Fren: No, I dont wan to bring soft drink... not good for health.
Me: LOL, the smoker has spoken !!!

I do this all the time, if you smoke and you want to talk to me about healthy lifestyle, you are asking me to mock you. It's not that smokers don't have the right to talk about living healthy but talking about it while smoking death sticks is not going to help improve your health, and that action speaks louder then whatever "I must eat more green, jog 5 hours a day blah blah blah.", *puff puff*.

But seriously... what makes people smoke?
Some people told me that they smoke to socialize.
Does that means I that if I don't smoke I can't meet people and make new friends?

The usual smoker's answer would be: "No no, It will be much easier for you to socialize with people." Right... But in what way does it make it easier? I wouldn't approach someone who not only has the intention to kill himself but also who is ignorent enough make the people around them suffer. Plus I don't find it hard to socialize with people even thou I'm not an expert in that, but I think it will be a challenge for me to talk with something burning sticking out of my mouth.

Some say to reduce stress..
Stress? Smoking stresses your body immune system, dont you know that? in the long run more stress will come from the medical bills.

Seriously, if u have chance, try to smell smoker's breath in the morning. It feels HEAVEN !!

Petrol Hike..
Thursday, June 05, 2008 | Author: ::

Save for war, there is not a single day in Malaysia which could be as dark and demoralising as 4 June 2008.

I was driving back from work, at 6.00pm, caught in a untypical jam, which gets worse hundreds of meters away from every single petrol station. First sign of post petrol hike announcement.

I saw a car which has broken down by the side of the road. My sympathy goes out to the owner. Imagine being hit by a double whammy today (actually a triple whammy if you like to add the hike in electricity tariff).

Other times, I would be irritated if people attempt to abruptly cut into my lane, but I feel a certain solidarity with other road users today that I let the bloody car pass uneventfully. With some horn for his desserts of course.

Some drivers lost they patience, but I couldn't tell if they are like that all the time or nerves are just especially sensitive today. Obviously, its not a good time to test their patience when the petrol price shoot up to rm2.70 per liter.

This govt lies again when it said that petrol prices will only be revised in August. I shudder to think how the government would expect mamak stalls not to raise the price of roti canai or teh tarik, the coffee shops not to raise the price of teh oh or noodles, or school buses not to raise their fees, for logistics company not to raise their rates.. How they would expect everyone to be tolerant except themselves when they are still flying around or drive big cc cars. At 40% increase, even the price of the toilet paper will go up. Yet they will do the same. As it is, they were trying to manage the fear of inflation last night, saying it will only go up about 5-6% this year. Think: is it possible for fuel price to go up 40$, electricity rate to go up 20% and other costs to go up and expect our inflationary rate to be at only 10%?

Never has a government decision struck so much pain into the hearts of the rakyat. This is truly a time for the rakyat to rise to the occasion regardless of political affiliation and get the government to fully account for its actions.

So dear readers, remember this dark dark Wednesday. This govt lies again when it said that petrol prices will only be revised in August.

Im sorry its been such a boring discussion in todays post. I just cant help but to think what is actually our gomen do all these while. Wheres all the MBs. Malaysia Boleh? Way to go!

It seems like it was only four months ago that I joined the JPUJ. Time runs quite fast dont you think. One moment i was a greenie sitting in front of my humble 19" wide LCD knowing nothin, doing nothin for the whole day.. and the next moment im busy doing lil of this, lil of that. Letters coming in always overrun letters going out, not to mention, hav to entertain all those stupid authority callers. Such a pain!

Yeah.. Loads of different changes happened since I joined, for example my expanding waistline. Haha.. However some things have not changed, waking up at the most ridiculous hour in morning. I've realized that I've been waking up everyday at 6am all these while. You know what's the funny thing? I've really had to screw up my body clock. The younger me who liked to go out at 10pm had to be replaced by the uncle who's ready for bed at 10pm . I'm basically quite messed up, frankly.

But despite all these mess, at least ive found my track for me to run onto for the next few years.. hopefully, or months perhaps.. ermm no, depends :P

"So yen, stop whining over small things and get ur job done.."
Haha. Im becoming more and more like my boss, dont u see that !

I really have no idea what to write. Blogging is way harder than i thought.. Haha. I dont even know why on earth do i start this blog.. Haha no seriously. Its all started when i went through my frens's blog back when i was studying in college.. and uhh.. these few days ive been following my sis's blog, quite interesting to be honest (Haha credit to u sister). And all of sudden, im thinking of having my own blog and yeah.. i guess thats how i get into this. Just like that.. :P

Ok. Why u start blogging is one thing.. But what to write is another good question. And of course, to keep ur blog simple yet interesting is a trail of head-cracking. U spent the whole day thinking how to entertain ur reader while u know there's no reader in the first place at all. LOL.. 1 part brilliant 2 parts fool remember..

So.. back. What to write in my 1st post. Come on yen.. come on.. there must be sumthing in ur skull to tell about. Wait aa minute! Heyy see.. ive been writing for few lines actually.. Haha way to go man !! wooohaa... Hehe. Blogging is not that hard laa actually.. Hehe mind my english..

I guess its still too early for me to find a cracking point onside of my skull.. so uhh.. ill just leave my 1st post like this with nothing to share. Peace y'all !!X!
