I have to admit it, Iwas stunned the first time I saw it drive-in into our car porch. The shiny silver spray paint, black leather seat, polished interior, newly-sprayed rim, new lamp with silver lining, everything is simply impressive. Not to mention, with a new auto transmission installed, there is a slighly improvement on the engine performance. The modification was very gratifying to us and me myself satisfied with the works as a whole.
But among all, the thing that I like the most is the new hood. Hehe. It fits the car nicely, looks so rigid and from certain angle, the hood looks just like Rolls Royce hood! Seriously I like it.
Hmm, talking about rigid, I wonder why old cars were made so solid. And by solid I mean rock solid. You name it, old Mercs, old BMWs, old Volvos, or even old Sagas.
Watch this clip and you will understand my point. Its not exacly the same model that my dad own but looking at the more-less-is-the same design, I guess they are from the same generation.
Seriousy check this out!
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
This girl went all out trying to demolish the car, bashed the car with baseball bat, flood it with water, and BIGFOOT ran over it. Crazy test yet the car still somehow survived and rather be in an acceptable condition I can say. Amazing! I should have tried these to our merc before.
But seriously, what made old car so strong. Is it the material? Or because of the old-timer worksmanship? That I do not know, but I do know old cars rock! Hehe. And judging its toughness, i would rather call this car 'tanks' :D
